Privacy policy

Sect. 1 Controller and scope

The controller for data processing in the online shop "Dahlert by Hurom" at www.dahlert.com is Hurom Europe GmbH, Weberstraße 19, 65779 Kelkheim (Taunus), Germany, e-mail: huromparts@hurom-europe.com. We process your personal data solely in accordance with German data protection law and the data protection law of the European Union. This privacy policy applies only to this online shop.

When you access our online shop, technically necessary connection data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser and operating system information) are processed in order to deliver the website and ensure its security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted provision of the online shop. The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes.

Sect. 2 Orders and enquiries

(1) We process the data you provide when placing an order or making an enquiry - in particular your name, address, country, e-mail address, phone number (if provided), order data and records related to after-sales service and customer service - in order to perform the contract and answer your enquiries. Without your name and address we cannot send you the goods. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

(2) Recipients are payment service providers, shipping service providers, hosting providers and providers of after-sales service and customer service (see Sect. 5).

(3) We store the data required for the performance of the contract until the expiry of the statutory limitation periods for claims for defects, and data required under commercial and tax law for the statutory periods, generally ten years (Section 257 German Commercial Code (HGB), Section 147 Fiscal Code (AO)). Data from enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted as soon as they are no longer required.

(4) We also process your contact and order data to inform you of safety warnings and recalls relating to a product you have purchased. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Regulation (EU) 2023/988.

Sect. 3 Payment

To process your payment, we pass the necessary data to the payment service provider you have chosen. Your payment data is processed directly by that provider; we do not receive full card or account details. The privacy notices of the respective provider also apply. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Sect. 4 Cookies

We use necessary cookies, for example for the shopping basket and security, on the basis of Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in a functioning and secure online shop. All other cookies (statistics, marketing, preferences) are used only with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use the consent management tool Consentmo GDPR to obtain and manage your consent. The provider, purpose and storage period of each cookie are shown in the cookie settings, which you can open at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our website. There you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser.

Sect. 5 Service providers and transfers to third countries

(1) We use service providers that process personal data on our behalf under Article 28 GDPR, in particular for operating the online shop (Shopify International Limited, Dublin, Ireland), sending e-mails, handling returns, managing cookie consent, and after-sales and customer service.

(2) For after-sales and customer service, your data (name, contact details, address, purchase and service records) may be transferred to Hurom LS Co., Ltd. and Concentrix Services Korea Limited, both Seoul, Republic of Korea. The transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the Republic of Korea (Article 45 GDPR).

(3) Some of our service providers, in particular for sending e-mails, also transfer data to countries outside the European Economic Area, in particular to the United States. Transfers to the United States are based, where the recipient is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the data fall within the scope of its certification, on the European Commission's corresponding adequacy decision, and otherwise on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Article 46(2)(c) GDPR). The same applies to transfers to any other recipients outside the European Economic Area. You may request a copy of these safeguards at huromparts@hurom-europe.com.

Sect. 6 Your rights

You have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and data portability (Article 20 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR). We respond to your request within one month; in complex cases this period may be extended by two further months (Article 12(3) GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence (Article 77 GDPR). For all requests, please contact us at huromparts@hurom-europe.com.

Sect. 7 Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)

(1) Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

(2) Where we process your data for direct marketing purposes, you may object at any time without giving reasons; this also applies to profiling related to such direct marketing. After your objection, we will no longer process your data for those purposes.

(3) No particular form is required; an e-mail to huromparts@hurom-europe.com is sufficient.
